Discover the Journey of an Artist

I’m Irina Hodorogea, a Romanian contemporary abstract artist based in London, England. My passion for art runs deep, rooted in childhood memories of watching my mother weave traditional wool rugs and create intricate crafts. This early exposure to creativity inspired my own artistic journey, which began with school art classes and later led me to High School of Art, where I explored various forms of artistic expression, including painting, drawing, clay modeling, and art history.
Over the years, my style has evolved into a dynamic fusion of knife painting and brushwork, allowing me to convey emotions, memories, and ideas in a bold and vibrant way. Through my art, I aim to capture and reflect the experiences that have shaped me—moments of life, deep emotions, and meaningful connections—translating them onto the canvas.
Each piece I create is a personal exploration, an invitation for the viewer to connect with the feelings and energy infused within the artwork. Art is more than just a visual experience; it’s a journey into emotion and expression, a story told through color and texture.
